I grew from making the work to leading the systems, teams and decisions behind it.
I am a Product Design Director with 16 years of experience across government, financial services and commercial products. My background started in hands-on digital design and evolved into leading complex modernization programs, building design organizations and partnering with executives on product direction.
My career started in visual and digital design, then expanded into UX, product design, design systems and eventually design leadership. What has stayed consistent is the type of problem I enjoy most: messy systems, unclear experiences and teams that need a stronger product direction.
That progression matters because I did not move away from the craft. I learned how to use it at a different level: shaping the system around the work, developing people and knowing where senior design judgment can create the most leverage.
Most of my recent work has been in enterprise modernization: child welfare systems, federal grants, banking platforms and other highly regulated environments. That work sharpened how I operate across policy, technical constraints, organizational complexity and executive decision-making.
But my earlier commercial experience still shapes how I think. Carnival taught me how adoption follows a product that truly fits the user. Team Horner reinforced the connection between digital strategy, brand, commerce and measurable growth.
I care about quality, but I do not believe quality comes from controlling every detail myself. I create clarity around the problem, make constraints visible, give people context and expect ownership in return.
I am comfortable stepping into the work when the team needs senior design judgment, and equally comfortable stepping back when someone else should own the decision. That balance is central to how I lead.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Internet Marketing and a B.S. in Digital Design from Full Sail University, along with PMP, AI in Product Design, SAFe Agile and Certified Scrum Master certifications.
My toolkit has changed over time, but I still stay current in the tools and platforms that help teams ship: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Palantir, Creatio, OutSystems, Tableau, GitHub and modern AI-assisted workflows.
A product design leadership role where strategy, people and craft all matter.
I’m most interested in opportunities where I can lead teams, shape product direction, build scalable systems and stay close enough to the work to make a difference.
